New injection tested to numb jaw pain after wisdom teeth surgery
NCT ID NCT07094542
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific nerve block injection can reduce jaw muscle pain and improve recovery after wisdom tooth removal. 80 healthy adults having lower wisdom teeth removed will be enrolled. The day after surgery, those with significant jaw pain will receive either the real nerve block injection or a placebo (saltwater) shot to see which provides better pain relief.
