Doctors test alcohol injection to starve prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT06703437

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new injection for men with high-risk prostate cancer. The injection uses alcohol and numbing medicine to block the nerves that feed the prostate, aiming to slow or stop the cancer's growth. Researchers will give the injection during a standard biopsy procedure to 12 participants and closely monitor safety. The goal is to find the safest dose for future studies.
