Summary
This study tested whether adding a specific nerve block to standard pain management could help people who had knee replacement surgery. 244 adults were randomly assigned to receive the extra nerve block or not. Researchers measured pain scores and how much opioid pain medication they needed in the first 24 hours and up to 7 days after surgery.
