Nerve block could offer heart surgery patients a less painful recovery

NCT ID NCT07259057

Summary

This study tested whether a nerve block could help people recover better after open-heart surgery. Researchers compared a targeted nerve-blocking injection to standard opioid painkillers in 66 patients. They measured pain levels, recovery speed, and other health factors for two days after surgery to see which method worked best.
