Summary
This Phase 3 trial is testing a drug called Neovasculgen, given as injections into the leg muscles, to see if it can help heal foot ulcers in people with diabetes. The study will include 144 adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who have a non-healing foot ulcer. Participants will receive either Neovasculgen or a placebo, and researchers will track how many ulcers heal completely within about 6 months.

- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could provide a new treatment option to help heal stubborn foot ulcers in people with diabetes, potentially reducing the risk of amputation.
- What could go wrong
- This is still an early-stage Phase 3 trial with only 144 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug is injected into the muscle and may cause side effects like pain or swelling.
