New scaffold could improve breast reconstruction outcomes

Summary

This study tests a special support material (acellular matrix) used with breast implants to help rebuild the breast after mastectomy. About 100 women born female who need breast reconstruction will receive the material, and researchers will check for side effects, how well the material integrates with the body, and patient satisfaction. The goal is to see if this material makes reconstruction safer and more effective.
