Summary
This study looks at whether giving platelet transfusions only when extremely premature babies have very low platelet counts is better than giving them sooner. About 2,400 babies born between 23 and 27 weeks of pregnancy will take part. The goal is to see if a more cautious approach helps more babies survive without major bleeding.
