First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested giving two chemotherapy drugs (carboplatin and nab-paclitaxel) before surgery to people with a fast-growing type of breast cancer called triple negative. The goal was to shrink tumors enough so that no cancer remains at the time of surgery. 67 patients with advanced or inflammatory breast cancer took part. The approach aims to improve the chance of a complete response and reduce the amount of tissue that needs to be removed.
