Could a different way of breathing improve heart pump function?
NCT ID NCT07034599
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special breathing technique (negative pressure ventilation) can help the right side of the heart work better in people who already have a left ventricular assist device (LVAD), a type of heart pump. About 30 adults who recently got an LVAD and are stable after surgery will take part. Researchers will compare how the heart performs during this new breathing method versus standard breathing support.
