New inhaled cocktail aims to ease lung damage in ventilator patients

Summary
This study tests whether a combination of three inhaled drugs (furosemide, heparin, and hypertonic saline) can reduce lung injury in adults with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) who are on a breathing machine. The trial will enroll 344 participants and measure daily lung injury scores. The goal is to find a supportive treatment to control the disease and prevent further lung damage from the ventilator.
