Tooth wear mystery: gum shape and brushing habits under the microscope

NCT ID NCT07629492

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study examined 180 adults to see if the shape of their gums and their oral habits (like brushing force or teeth grinding) are linked to non-carious cervical lesions — wear on teeth not caused by cavities. Participants filled out a questionnaire and had a dental exam. The goal was to better understand these relationships, not to test a treatment.
