First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new imaging-based navigation system to help surgeons remove head and neck tumors more precisely. The goal is to achieve clear surgical margins (no cancer cells at the edge) and then personalize follow-up radiation. About 60 adults with certain head and neck cancers will take part. The approach aims to improve local tumor control and reduce the chance of cancer coming back.
