First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests a device called NaviFUS™ that uses low-intensity focused ultrasound to calm overactive brain areas in people with drug-resistant epilepsy. About 16 adults will receive either the ultrasound treatment or a sham procedure to see if it safely reduces seizure frequency. The goal is to find a new option for those whose seizures don't respond to medication.
