First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether walking in nature can help reduce depressive symptoms in college students more than walking in a city. 138 students with mild to moderate depression were randomly assigned to urban walks, nature walks, or nature walks with guided activities. They walked for 30 minutes twice a week for three weeks, and researchers measured changes in their depression and anxiety levels.
