Kitchen remedies tested to soothe painful mouth sores in diabetes

NCT ID NCT06481254

Summary

This study tested whether three common natural drinks—hawthorn vinegar, black mulberry syrup, and green tea—could improve mouth comfort and quality of life for people with diabetes who suffer from oral mucositis (painful mouth sores). It involved 120 adult volunteers with diabetes who used one of these drinks as a mouth rinse for 14 days. Researchers measured changes in mouth sore symptoms and overall oral health quality of life.
