NCT ID NCT06526650
Summary
This study is testing whether community cooking classes focused on traditional Native Hawaiian foods can help people better manage diabetes, high blood pressure, and weight. The program involves 1,780 Native Hawaiian adults who will attend quarterly cooking demonstrations and cultural lessons over five years. Researchers will measure changes in diet quality, family support for healthy eating, and community connections to see if this approach improves health outcomes.
