First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a steroid nasal spray can prevent fluid buildup in the middle ear, a common side effect of radiation therapy for nasopharyngeal cancer. About 168 adults who are about to receive radiation will use either the spray or a placebo for 12 months. The goal is to see if this simple, non-invasive treatment can reduce ear fullness and hearing loss, improving quality of life after cancer treatment.
