New nasal spray aims to calm nerves before surgery

NCT ID NCT07298525

Summary

This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a sedative nasal spray given to patients before they receive anesthesia for surgery. Researchers want to see if the spray helps patients relax without causing serious breathing or heart problems. They will compare the spray to a placebo (a spray with no medicine) in 564 adults having planned surgery.
