Simple nose test could prevent unnecessary surgeries

NCT ID NCT07379775

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simple, non-invasive breathing test called anterior active rhinomanometry (AAR) can reliably confirm when surgery is the right choice for adults with chronic nasal obstruction. Researchers will enroll 200 patients already scheduled for surgery to see if the test results match the surgical decision and predict patient improvement. The goal is to provide doctors with a better objective tool to guide treatment for this common condition.
