Scientists peek inside noses to see how immune systems fight viruses

NCT ID NCT07295535

Summary

This study aims to understand how the immune system in the nose responds to respiratory viruses like COVID-19. Researchers will compare 40 immunocompromised patients (such as transplant recipients) with healthy volunteers. The goal is to learn how medical conditions and treatments that weaken the immune system affect the body's ability to fight viruses.
