First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a nurse-led '4-step narrative nursing' program can reduce anxiety and improve breastfeeding confidence in mothers having a planned or non-emergency cesarean section. 160 mothers will be randomly assigned to either standard care or standard care plus four short conversations with a trained nurse. The main goal is to measure anxiety levels 48 hours after surgery, with follow-ups on depression risk, breastfeeding confidence, and pain up to 3 months.
