Summary
This study tests a new care pathway to help primary care doctors better diagnose and treat NAFLD, a common liver disease in Veterans linked to obesity and diabetes. The pathway automatically identifies at-risk patients and educates providers. Researchers will compare this approach to usual care in 32 VA clinics to see if it increases diagnosis rates and referrals.
