Summary

This study looked at whether a 20% N-acetylcysteine (NAC) solution could improve lung function and reduce mucus in people with moderate-to-severe asthma. Only 4 participants were enrolled before the study was terminated. Each person received both NAC and a placebo in two-week periods to compare effects.
