Cannabis-Based drug tested for calming severe aggression

NCT ID NCT05273320

Summary

This early study tested the safety of nabilone, a synthetic cannabis-like medication, in 20 adults with intellectual disabilities who experience severe, frequent aggressive behaviors. Researchers wanted to see if the drug was well-tolerated and to check for any early signs it might help reduce aggression. The goal was to gather safety information to plan a larger future study.
