Summary
This study tested different doses of nicotinamide riboside (NR), a vitamin B3-like supplement, in 80 people with early Alzheimer's disease. The goal was to find the best dose that increases brain energy levels and changes brain metabolism safely. Participants took placebo or NR doses from 1000 mg to 3000 mg daily for 12 weeks, with brain scans and spinal fluid tests to measure effects.
