Summary
This study tested whether N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a supplement, can help people who struggle with both alcohol use disorder and PTSD. 182 adults took NAC or a placebo to see if it reduced drinking and PTSD symptoms. The goal was to find a safer, more accessible treatment option for these often co-occurring conditions.
