Scientists hunt for hidden clues in brain fluid to understand muscle disease

NCT ID NCT06075693

Summary

This study aims to understand myotonic dystrophy better by looking for early signs in the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Researchers will collect this fluid and measure brain activity in 88 adults with and without the condition. The goal is to find biological markers that could help with future diagnosis and treatment, but this study itself does not test any treatments.
