Fibroid surgery before IVF: hope for higher live birth rates?
NCT ID NCT07578623
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether surgically removing medium-sized uterine fibroids (4-6 cm) before in vitro fertilization (IVF) helps more women have a baby. About 792 infertile women under 40 will either have fibroid removal first or go straight to IVF. The goal is to see if the surgery leads to more live births within one year.
