New hope for myeloma patients facing first relapse

Summary
This study tested a combination of three drugs (pomalidomide, cyclophosphamide, and dexamethasone) in 100 adults with multiple myeloma whose cancer had returned after their first treatment. The goal was to see if this new drug combination could effectively control the disease in patients who had previously received standard therapies. The treatment approach varied slightly depending on whether patients had received a stem cell transplant during their initial treatment.
