Double transplant attack on aggressive blood cancer
NCT ID NCT00466674
Summary
This study tested a two-step transplant approach for patients under 65 with aggressive myeloma. After an initial transplant, patients who had a partial response received a second, gentler transplant from a donor. The goal was to better control the disease and improve survival by using the donor's immune system to fight the cancer.
