Soothing sounds: study tests music to lower family stress in ICU waiting rooms

Summary

This study looks at whether playing personalized music through a sound shower in the intensive care unit (ICU) waiting room can reduce anxiety in family members. About 224 adult relatives of patients on breathing machines will take part. Their anxiety levels will be measured after 20-30 minutes of waiting, either with or without music.
