First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study explores whether listening to music for one hour each day can improve emotional well-being, thinking, and memory in people who have had a stroke. Sixty adults aged 50 to 90 who had a stroke at least six months ago will be randomly assigned to listen to music or an audiobook for four weeks. Researchers will track mood, cognitive skills, and brain activity using questionnaires, tests, and MRI scans.
