Can your favorite playlist spark motivation in Parkinson's?
NCT ID NCT05505019
Summary
This study aims to understand how listening to personally chosen music might help reduce apathy—a common lack of motivation and emotion—in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will enroll 50 participants to use an 8-week music listening program while measuring changes in brain activity and motivation levels. The goal is to learn how music affects the brain's reward system to inform future non-drug therapies for this challenging symptom.
