Soothing tunes for needle fears? music tested during eye procedures
NCT ID NCT07196098
Summary
This study tested whether listening to slow, calming music could reduce anxiety and pain for patients getting injections in their eye. 144 adult patients were randomly split into two groups: one listened to piano music before and during the procedure, while the other did not. Researchers measured stress levels using saliva samples, heart rate, and blood pressure, and asked patients to rate their pain afterward.
