Soothing tunes ease Kids' ER anxiety
NCT ID NCT06876194
Summary
This study tested whether playing music for children during emergency room procedures improves their comfort and cooperation when they also receive standard sedative medication. Researchers compared children who listened to music with those who did not to see if music led to better sedation, fewer side effects, and higher satisfaction from doctors and parents. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to make painful medical treatments less distressing for young patients.
