Soothing sounds: can music calm nerves during painful bone marrow tests?
NCT ID NCT06169267
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to music can help reduce anxiety for people undergoing a bone marrow biopsy or aspiration, which are common but often stressful procedures for blood cancer patients. About 113 adults with blood conditions will be randomly assigned to either have their standard procedure or have it while listening to music. Researchers will measure changes in anxiety and pain levels to see if the music makes the experience easier.
