Healing beats: music and tapping therapy may ease pain and fear after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT07530614

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to music and practicing Emotional Freedom Techniques (a type of tapping therapy) can help people recover after knee arthroscopy. Many patients feel pain, fear of moving, and have a higher risk of falling after surgery. The researchers want to see if these simple, drug-free methods can reduce those problems and improve recovery. About 85 adults aged 18 to 65 who are scheduled for knee arthroscopy will take part.
