Tapping and tunes: new study tests Drug-Free recovery for knee surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07530614
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether listening to music and using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) — a type of tapping on acupressure points — can help people recover better after knee arthroscopy. The goal is to reduce pain, fear of movement, and the risk of falling. Researchers will enroll 85 adults aged 18 to 65 who are scheduled for knee surgery. If successful, these simple, safe methods could become part of standard post-surgery care.
