Could a simple tune make C-Sections more pleasant?

NCT ID NCT06539754

Summary

This study tested whether offering music during a cesarean delivery (C-section) improves the patient's experience. 61 women having scheduled C-sections were randomly assigned to either have music played during their surgery or have no music. Researchers measured satisfaction using surveys and also checked if there were any changes in the mother's heart rate or blood pressure.
