Common mushroom tested as potential prostate cancer fighter

NCT ID NCT04519879

Summary

This study is testing whether a supplement made from white button mushrooms can help control prostate cancer. It is for men whose cancer has returned after initial treatment (shown by rising PSA levels) and for men with low-risk cancer who are being monitored without treatment. Researchers want to see if the mushroom supplement can lower PSA levels, slow cancer growth, and affect the immune system.
