First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This completed study looked at how oxygen levels in the breathing muscles and thigh muscles change during upper- and lower-body exercise in healthy young men and women. Twenty-four physically active adults aged 18-35 did cycling and arm-cranking tests while their muscle oxygen was measured. The goal was to understand gender differences in muscle oxygen use during exercise.
