Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called BIO101 can help prevent muscle strength loss in overweight and obese adults who are taking the weight loss medication semaglutide while dieting. Researchers want to see if taking BIO101 pills twice daily for 21 weeks helps maintain leg strength and physical function compared to a placebo. The trial will include 164 participants who will also follow a protein-rich diet and exercise plan while taking semaglutide.
