Scientists test how working out in thin air builds muscle

NCT ID NCT07341165

Summary

This study aimed to understand how exercising with less oxygen affects muscle growth at the cellular level. Researchers had 38 healthy young men perform specific resistance exercises under normal and low-oxygen conditions. They took muscle and blood samples at different times to track how muscle stem cells respond when oxygen is limited during exercise.
