Simple muscle stretch may ease chronic back pain

NCT ID NCT07328126

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a specific stretching technique called Muscle Energy Technique, applied to a large back muscle (latissimus dorsi), can reduce pain and improve movement in people with long-term mechanical low back pain. About 32 adults with moderate pain and disability will be treated and measured for changes in pain, function, and flexibility. The goal is to see if this hands-on therapy offers a simple, drug-free way to ease symptoms.
