First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study explores how a minimally invasive lung valve treatment changes leg muscle function in people with severe emphysema. Researchers will measure muscle energy use and take small tissue samples before and 6 months after the procedure. The goal is to understand why patients often feel stronger and more active after treatment. 15 adults scheduled for valve placement will participate.
