Scientists hunt for clues to predict MS severity
NCT ID NCT03369106
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study aims to find a set of markers—from genes, immune system, and brain scans—that are linked to how severe multiple sclerosis (MS) becomes. Researchers will follow 120 people with MS and their siblings who also have the condition. The goal is to better understand why some people have more disability than others, not to test a new treatment.
