First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a short, high-dose course of corticosteroids can help heal a specific type of brain lesion in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). These lesions, called ring-enhancing lesions, may not heal as well as others. The study will involve 30 adults with MS who have such a lesion. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either no treatment or 3 days of steroids, and will be followed for about 6 months with MRI scans and check-ups.
