New drug cocktail aims to deepen remission in multiple myeloma patients
NCT ID NCT07671287
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests whether adding the drug Teclistamab to a standard treatment regimen (Daratumumab, Lenalidomide, Bortezomib, Dexamethasone) improves outcomes for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients eligible for stem cell transplant. About 399 adults aged 18-70 will receive either the new combo or standard care, followed by maintenance therapy. The main goal is to see if more patients achieve undetectable cancer levels before starting maintenance.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Teclistamab, Daratumumab, Lenalidomide, Bortezomib, Dexamethasone
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a more effective treatment combination for multiple myeloma, potentially achieving deeper remission before maintenance therapy.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage Phase 3 trial not yet recruiting, so results are uncertain. The combination may cause significant side effects, and long-term benefits over standard care are not guaranteed.
