New drug cocktail aims to tame tough blood cancer
NCT ID NCT01297764
Summary
This study is testing a combination of four drugs (carfilzomib, lenalidomide, vorinostat, and dexamethasone) for adults with multiple myeloma that has returned or stopped responding to prior treatment. The main goals are to find the safest dose and see if this powerful combination can effectively control the cancer. Researchers hope this mix will be strong against the disease while causing fewer nerve and stomach problems than other treatments.
