This study is testing a multi-sensory rehabilitation program for people with ultra low vision (visual acuity of 20/1600 or worse). The study involves 36 participants and is currently recruiting.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
behavioral training (visual information training and multimodal training)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a better rehabilitation program to help people with very low vision function more independently and improve their quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 36 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The training is behavioral, so benefits may vary and are not guaranteed.
