Summary

This study tested a drug called MT-8554 (Elismetrep) in 156 adults with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The goal was to see if it reduces pain better than a placebo over 12 weeks. Participants took either the drug or a placebo capsule, and pain was measured using a 0-10 scale.
